CREATE Clubs: Youth Building Businesses

I had a meeting this morning about a great, new youth organization that is focused on helping high school students develop character through developing a real-life business of their own. Students process character attributes like integrity, courage, and perseverance while being guided by a volunteer adult mentor. Students develop competencies in goal setting, decision making, marketing, and contact development by building their own business using a product or service of their choosing. The goal is to help the students achieve early success AND make a profit in their first semester. The CREATE Clubs will meet for ten months a year and have a span of three years. The mission for CREATE clubs is to develop character in teenagers through the world’s best mentoring program, giving them tools for success and life.

I am a member of a charter group of volunteers in Pflugerville, Texas. I have agreed to serve as a mentor, and we are looking for other business professionals to help charter clubs and/or serve in a mentorship role.

Tony Ripley is the Founder and Director of Development for CREATE clubs. Tony has recently moved from Nashville, Tennessee where he first founded this organization and now resides in Round Rock, Texas. Tony has two decades of experience mentoring young people in Minnesota, Tennessee and Southeastern Europe. I first met Tony at a Pflugerville Rotary International meeting this week and I have found out that Tony has been a member of Toastmaster International .

If you are interested you can contact me either by filling out the information form on my website or send me an email. You can also reach Tony at [email protected]
